Our Sri Lanka Cup 2010 will take place on 19th September at Golf-Park Peiner Hof. If you have not already registered please do so NOW and feel free to bring friends and family and spread the word. We are very grateful for your continued support. All proceeds will go to the International School Hamburg’s

But in order to make the day a success, WE NEED YOUR HELP! We would like to invite you to contribute to the project by either:
1. Playing in the tournament. The cost for players will be €100 per person for the day and includes course fees, welcome coffee, packed lunch, a buffet supper, and prizes. The tournament is open to all members of the community who have a handicap and all levels are welcome. It is a Texas Scramble and will be played in teams of 4. More information about the tournament will be emailed to participants.
2. Taking a beginners course with the professional. Then joining us for the fun. €100
3. Sponsoring a hole on the course. Minimum sponsorship cost of one golf hole is €200. Minimum sponsorship of either the 9th or 18th holes is €500. Sponsorship includes the advertisement of your company on that hole for the duration of the tournament and a full page of advertisement in the booklet/brochure which will be given to each player.
4. Donating a prize to the Tombola/Raffle.

Junior School Playground
On 5 August 2010, the first phase of the new Junior School Playground was completed! The beautiful climbing and swinging equipment, made out of natural "Robinienholz",or non-chemically treated hardwood, is high quality, safe, and made by an environmentally-friendly company, SIK-Holz. Many thanks go to the ISH Parent Teacher Association for funding this project, as well as the Playground Committee.
Watch for further information about how you can get involved and help us build "Phase 2!"
We are excited to be able to officially open the new playground to the children on the first day of school, 19 August 2010!
Greetings ISH Community
I hope your summer is going well and you are enjoying some quality family time in the sun or the snow depending on where you are. I wish the best of luck to those of you who are still in the process of relocating to Hamburg. The city awaits you in all of its beauty with the whole summer of exceptional weather (well, at least for Hamburg). In the next weeks you will be receiving some information from your division administrators as well as from our admissions office, so please do check your e-mails and mail boxes. The school is already alive with most of the administration back from the summer holidays. As you know we have two new principals starting this school year. Dr. Weishof (.(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address) ) will head up our Junior School (ECC and grades 1-5), and Dr. Frankel (.(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address)) will lead our Secondary School (Grades 6-12). Please direct any questions you may have to them. Feel free to also stop by the school any time. Our teachers are starting on August 16, so there will be a few days before the students begin for you to come and visit the school and say hello to your teachers and administrators.
As I am writing these lines the work on our new soccer field is coming to an end! The work crew is just laying down the last layer of the green surface. Now we have not only a state-of-the-art school building, but also the state-of-the-art soccer field. Once again, many thanks to everyone who helped financially with the contraction of this field!
Speaking of help and construction, our new Junior School playground construction just started a few days ago. Many thanks to the Playground committee, the PTA and everyone involved in this project.
An exciting school year lies ahead of us. I am looking forward to greeting all of you here at ISH in just a few short weeks. Meanwhile enjoy the rest of your holidays and travel safely.
With my best regards,

Vladimir Kuskovski, Ph.D.
Congratulations to the graduating class of 2010!
