3rd IB Arts Exhibition draws in big crowd despite stellar weather

Over 50 visitors attended the official opening of the 3rd annual IB Arts Exhibition at ISH inspite of the beautiful and inviting sunny spring weather outdoors. Six 12 graduate students presented their paintings, clay sculptures, installations and photographs they had been working on over the course of their two year IB Visual Arts class.  The most important goal of this program at ISH is to motivate the students to actively discover art in an international and intercultural context, and to enable them to study visual arts after graduation.

Visitors were able to view over 40 art pieces and talk to the artists about their work while enjoying fabulous finger food and drinks. Besides the fantastic organizational help by ISH’s highly respected Art teacher Peter Anderson and the relentless work of Teacher Assistant Conny Plagge, visitors had a chance to meet a special guest who has been a big help over the past months: Antonio del Prete, an international artist, who worked with the students, helped guide and inspire them, and whose guidance was a very important addition to their studies.

We thank everyone involved in putting together this classy celebration of art and creativity. Parents and students can visit the IB Arts Exhibition at ISH until the 31st of March, so come by and have a first-hand look at the fabulous work of our talented art students!
