At ISH grades 6-12 constitute the Secondary School. This section of the school is organised by a team of administrators responsible for different areas of secondary school life.
The Head of Secondary School is in charge of all matters relating to Grades 6-10 and the Head of Senior School has responsibility for Grades 11 and 12, the International Baccalaureate Programme and UK college counselling. The Staff Services Co-ordinator looks after staff welfare and professional development, including the employment of substitute teachers and the Student Services Co-ordinator oversees the extra-curricular and social provision for our students, including the Student Council. The Careers and College Counsellor advises students wishing to apply to colleges and universities in North America, Asia and all other non-UK countries.
The secondary school faculty consists of 57 experienced teachers, with the majority having been at ISH for more than 10 years. Many have advanced degrees. They come from up to 15 different countries with most from the UK, followed by Germany and North America.
