At ISH, grades 6-12 constitute the Secondary School.
Since June 23, 2016, ISH is officially accredited as an MYP school.
The MYP is designed for students aged 11 to 16. It provides a framework of learning, which encourages students to become creative, critical and reflective thinkers. The MYP emphasizes intellectual challenge, encouraging students to make connections between their studies in traditional subjects and to the real world. It fosters the development of skills for communication, intercultural understanding and global engagement: qualities that are essential for life in the 21st century. (Source: IB Website)
Throughout Grades 6-10, special classes are provided for students for whom English is not a first language. The purpose of these classes is to enable the student to profit fully, and as quickly as possible, from instruction in other subjects and in more advanced classes in English.
Students in Grades 11-12 may enrol in the two year International Baccalaureate (IB) diploma programme (DP) upon departmental recommendation.
