Which instruments are taught in the program?

Instruction is currently available on the following instruments: Violin, Viola, Cello, Flute, Clarinet, Saxophone, Trumpet,  Guitar, Bass, Piano, Drums/Percussion and Voice. Tutoring in Music Theory and Ear Training is also available.

How much do lessons cost?

30 min. per week/private instruction for 2010-11 school year: €750,00 - to be paid €75,00/month for 10 months (Sept. – June) 45 min. and 1 hour lessons are also available on request.

Do I also have to pay for lessons during the holidays?

Yes. The monthly fee is based on the annual tuition divided over 10 months. The annual fee is based on a total of 35 lessons per school year. This number of lessons should be achieved regardless of the number of lessons in a given month (ie. In some months, up to five lessons can be taught while in others, as few as two).

Are there any musical ensembles that my child can participate in?

Yes. Currently, there is a Junior Choir directed by Marjorie Patterson (grades1-5) and a Jazz Ensemble directed by Jeff Alpert (grades 6-12). 

Will my child participate in concerts?

Yes. The students have the opportunity to participate in 2 concerts per year, a holiday concert in December and a Spring concert.

Where do the lessons take place?

In the Music Department of the school (ground floor, rooms 042-048)

How do I enroll my child?

You can download an application here or request one from the ISH reception. The completed application can also be handed in at the reception.
