Amsterdam, Antwerp, and Luxembourg (bus):
As you approach Hamburg on the Autobahn 1 (via Bremen) follow the signs onto the Autobahn 7 direction Flensburg/Elbe Tunnel/Hamburg Airport. The Autobahn 7 goes into the Elbe Tunnel. When you exit the tunnel take the second exit - # 28 Hamburg-Bahrenfeld. Drive to the end of the exit ramp and turn left onto Osdorfer Weg which crosses over the Autobahn. Take the first right at the next set of traffic lights by a petrol station - this road is named Theodor Str. At the end of Theodor Str. (at the traffic lights) turn left onto Luruper Chaussee. Keep on this road and you will see the Novotel on the lefthand side after ca. 1km. There will be parking space available in the side streets around the hotel.
Sigtuna (air):
When you arrive in Hamburg the easiest and cheapest solution will be for you to travel by taxi to the Novotel. You will have to meet the costs for this. Exit the Airport Terminal building; the taxi rank is right outside. If you turn left when you exit the revolving door and walk along the pavement for ca. 75m they may have maxi taxis waiting.
Düsseldorf and Copenhagen (train):
If your train stops at Hamburg-Altona Bahnhof you should alight there, otherwise you will have to alight earlier at Hamburg-Hauptbahnhof.
From Altona Bahnhof you can take the Metrobus #1 from outside the station as far as Bahrenfeld Trabrennbahn which is a 30 second walk away from the Novotel (you should be able to see the hotel when you get off the bus - walk across the grass towards the modern office blocks).
From Hamburg-Hauptbahnhof you can take the S1 train (the green line) direction “Wedel” and get off at “Othmarschen.” The bus terminus is outside of the station - take the Metrobus #1 to Bahrenfeld Trabennbahn and then walk for 100 metres (see above.
From Novotel Hamburg Arena to the RCS Tennis Centre.
Turn right onto Luruper Chaussee. At the first junction turn sharp right onto Notkestr. Drive to the end of this road and then turn right onto Osdorfer Landstr. After ca. 3km turn right onto Schenefelder Landstr. (there is a church on the corner) and right onto Osterbrooksweg (you will see the end of the Tennis Centre building on this corner). Turn right onto Holzkoppel and you will see the RCS Tennis Centre at the end of this road.
From the RCS Tennis Centre to ISH.
The buses will be shown the way to ISH for the social function on Friday evening.

From the east (Copenhagen).
To avoid the city you should approach Hamburg from the north-east on the Autobahn #1. Drive on the Autobahn #1 to the south of the city and follow the signs for the A7 direction Flensburg/Elbe Tunnel/Hamburg Airport. The Autobahn 7 goes into the Elbe Tunnel. When you exit the tunnel take the second exit - # 28 Hamburg-Bahrenfeld. Drive to the end of the exit ramp and turn left onto Osdorfer Weg which crosses over the Autobahn.
