The Model United Nations course at ISH offers students a unique and rewarding experience. The course is a grade 10 option, Students who want to take part are selected part way through grade 9.
The course focuses on the key skills of debate, formal resolution writing, public speaking and individual research. Each academic year the students are offered the opportunity to take part in two of the most prestigious MUN conferences available; In January the students take part in the The Hague Model United Nations conference and in March the students are offered the chance of visiting New York for the National High Schools Model United Nations.
With the MUN experience students grow in confidence, learn to be independent, critical thinkers and at the same time are able to spend time working closely with students from across the globe.
In 2010 the ISH represented Colombia in the THIMUN conference and Saudi Arabia in the NHSMUN conference.
