ISH begins a phased re-opening of campus
Today, the International School of Hamburg began a phased re-opening of campus after a period of 7 weeks due to Covid-19 school closures. Grades 5 and 6 were welcomed back to learn while on campus and they clearly looked excited to be back. They were happy to see their friends and teachers again but were still able to follow the social distancing rules and regulations.
Having anticipated the school closures, ISH put in place a programme for remote learning, which still continues for the grades and subjects which are not yet being taught on campus. We hope to expand to other year groups whenever this is possible.

The reopening of the International School of Hamburg will be guided by the following principles:
- Protect the health and safety of students and staff
- Follow the guidelines set out by the Hamburger Schulbehörde and Ministries of Health and Education
- Provide students with some familiarity of school routines for social/emotional/academic learning
- Provide clear expectations for teachers and students during this emergency
We hope that everyone stays safe and well and we look forward to seeing you all soon.
