Embark on a voyage of learning

"Education is the passport to the future, for tomorrow belongs to those who prepare for it today." - Malcom X

This year Sean Rollosson, our P1 to 4th Grade Counsellor, put together a series of short films called Tips for Making and Keeping Friends.  The series is based on 12 Tips for Making and Keeping Friends from The Bully Free Classroom by Allan L Beane, PhD.  All 7 tips filmed this year were made in collaboration with ISH students who are also featured as actors in the videos.  Also featured in the videos are some of your favourite ISH staff and administrators! We hope that these videos will be of help to students new and old.  We adults might even learn a thing or two! This was Sean's last video for the school as he is leaving us. Thank you for the motivation, knowledge and insight that you have given to all of us and we wish you all th best for the future.

Tip 7: Avoid Peer Pressure debuted on Wednesday, June 26th in our final Junior School Assembly of the year. In scenes inspired by Hogwarts from the Harry Potter fantasy series, the enchanting 3rd graders and secondary school principal Dr. Howard de Leeuw entertained the audience. Tip #7 helped students learn some tactics on how to deal with negative peer pressure and also how to reinforce their values and be assertive in difficult situations. Special thanks go to Houria Rollosson for applying her wizardry in filming and editing these informative and fun videos!
