Bus Service
The International School of Hamburg offers a voluntary transportation service to its students.
Three school buses run by the local Hamburg Transportation Department (HVV) go around the outer Alster region and the Hafen City. They stop at regular bus stops. These buses are available only to our students and at the specified times in the morning and after school. Students in Grade 1 to Grade 12 can sign up for the bus service.
For information on the cost of the bus and/or the route, please contact our Admissions team as it differs every year based on how many students want to use the service.
In addition, as of September 1, 2024 Hamburg resident students travel for free throughout the hvv public transport regional network (Children under 6 already do so). As of mid-August 2024 You can order this chip card for your children under 15 online on the hvv website. If you child/ren are over 16 they can order their chip card themselves.
