Who can register for After School Activities?

Students from G1-G12  are able to sign up for After School Activities. Registration for most activities take place three times a year at the beginning of each trimester. Some activities like Model UN and Choir continue to take registrations throughout the school year.

How can I find out information about a class my child is enroled in?

After enrolment is confirmed, you will recieve an email detailing class information such as time, date and room. Please check the parent portal on Veracross. All class information can be accessed, including begin/end dates, times and location.

When are After School Activities?

After School Activities are offered Monday-Friday 15:00-18:00, each activity may have different times so be sure to check the registration catalog when signing up. ASA are not offered when the school is closed e.g. School holidays, teacher-only days.

I just need care for my child after school, are there any activities specifically for students of working families?

For our working families, we offer After School Care from Monday through to Thursday, see our ASC webpage for more information.

Where do After School Activities take place?

After School Activities take place on the ISH campus. Each activity has its own location, specific information can be found in the catalog.

How do I get involved or submit feedback, suggestions or a complaint?

Are students supervised at all times?

Yes

Who do I contact in an emergency?

In an emergency, you can contact reception before 16:30. Otherwise please send an email through to afterschool@ishamburg.com.

How do I notify an absence or a change in pick-up?

In general, please notify the JS or SS secretary before the school day begins. Feel free to CC in afterschool@ishamburg.org.

What happens if my child is sick or injured during ASA?  

If your child is sick or injured during ASA, our team will call you and request immediate collection of your child.

Child Protection

All of our Educators and staff have undergone ISH Child Safety training. This is repeated annually.

Data protection

All of our Educators and staff have undergone internal ISH Data protection training. The After School Program adheres to ISH’s data protection policy.

Where do I register?

Registration for ASA is posted before the beginning of each trimester, this occurs three times a year. Some activities that have an open registration like Choir or Model UN, can be signed-up for by contacting afterschool@ishamburg.org.

How much does it cost?

After School Activities currently have no fixed costs, some require additional material fees. From the August 2023, most activities will be charged at approximately 120€ per trimester.

How do I pay?

From August 2023 you will be invoiced unless otherwise agreed upon.

Is there a deadline for registration?

ASA registration opens before the beginning of each trimester, this usually closes a week after opening.

What if I sign up for the wrong activity and need to change?

If you accidentally select the wrong activity during signup, we are unable to guarantee a place for your child in any other activity. Please contact afterschool@ishamburg.org if you think you have made a mistake. 

Who can register for After School Care?

Students from P1-G5 in our Junior School are able to be registered for After School Care.

Is After School Care a structured program?

After School Care offers a number of activities, both structured and semi-structured. Our students have the freedom to choose which activities they would like to see on offer, what they would like to participate in and always have alternatives to choose from.

When is After School Care?

My child is also signed up for another class after school, can they go to ASC after their class is over?

For our students enrolled in other after school classes, we will collect them from their classes or a designated meeting place once class is over.

How much does it cost?

After School Care costs 39€ per day for regular weekly bookings of 1-2 days, or 29€ per day for regular weekly bookings of 3+ days. Total cost is invoiced per trimester.

How am I invoiced?

You are invoiced from the first registered day of ASC up until the end of the current trimester, these dates can be found on our school calendar. Shortly after registration, the ASC Coordinator will send through an invoice.

Is there a deadline for registration?

ASC registration is open throughout the year, there are no deadlines on registration.

What if I sign up for 3 days but later decide I only need 2?

Bookings for ASC are binding, if you wish to alter or add/remove days, please contact the ASC Coordinator.

Can I withdraw from the program and receive a refund?

ASC is non-refundable, after registering, there is a 3 month termination notice.
